"Growth"
As he continues down the rocky path,
a dark patch creeps in, smearing the sun dark grey.
A deep fog settles in, adding a touch of melancholy around him.
Bewildered by the mist,
he quickly and carefully treads.
Until light beams pierced the sky,
onto the narrow, untrodden path.
For the paved path that he treks,
Where flowers bloom endlessly like the deepest seas.
Stands light blue hydrangeas and crimson red roses that he will never forget,
until that pure white lily.

Came to the theme of friends so I wrote poems about friends!
"Best Friends"
What is the meaning of a real best friend?
Someone that you always play and laugh with?
Someone that has always helped at a dead end?
Amazing traits like from a myth?
A real best friend will fight anything with you,
Cheer you on when you climb another step.
Be there for you when you cannot pull through,
Follow along the same part of the web.
At times they will cause you horrible sadness,
While fights will seem to be never ending.
But in the end there will only lay happiness,
As your friendship becomes never bending.
True best friends will always think of each other,
Even when distant, they will always be brothers.
"Nicole "
None of them are the same as you,
In distance, we may be far apart but we are
Collecting every moment we can, while
Offering our finite amount of time.
Like a violin, the strings will always be there,
Even when the music stops.
"Jeremy"
Jamming to
Endless tunes,
Remembering our most
Exquisite moments.
Molding our paths, so that
You will never fade.

Was playing some games so I decided to write some!
"Ode to games"
A world with virtual, yet characters so realistic,
That brings about a feelings so mystic.
Once the match starts,
It leaves a big spot on my heart.
Starts off boring and slow,
But I know my character will grow.
Slowly, but surely, he will advance
And wait for that one magnificent chance.
When they asked if I wanted a spot,
My blood almost almost clot.
I said I would join the team,
Since it felt like just like a dream.
As I entered the stage,
I started to feel like I was in a cage.
For I dug my own grave,
As I became this game’s slave.
"Computer games"
Rushing onto the
road, gripping the door open.
To stare at a screen.

Random poems I decided to write:
"Stress"
Screaming sound of the
bell, gibberish echoing
Across the hall way.
"Passion"
Something lit in the chamber,
Locked away, gradually waiting.
Impatient, yet willing.
Burning brighter the longer it waits,
The bars slowly melting away.
Soon, it will break free.
Slowly, he discovers his intent,
The bars fade from its sight.
Unleashing the brightest flame.

The poems I was most confident in were "Passion", "Jeremy", "Nicole", "Growth", and "Best friends". So I will be using those for my poetry contest.
First I posted to the creative minds poetry contest (2 poems):
Then, I posted to the New Yorker contest (3 poems):
That concludes my anthology project which was really fun and I really liked being creative and thoughtful with my poems. I'm quite sad that I wasn't unable to do the video however because I went out and spent a lot of time on it. Still, the poem creation for the anthology was incredibly fun too!
